Upper Amman Valley Community Transport Project is looking for a Community Transport Development Worker
The rural Communities of Gwaun Cae Gurwen, Cwmgors, Tairgwaith and Brynamman are relatively poorly served by public transport services. A high proportion of local people do not have access to private transport, particularly the elderly and youth members of the community.
The project is intended to support the initial development of sustainable, reliable community transport serving the residents of Cwmgors, GCG, Lower Brynamman and Tairgwaith (could extend to Cwmllynfell over time). It will work alongside and facilitate work being taken forward by Social Services in the GCG area on Building Safe and Resilient Communities. The project is being enabled by Canolfan Maerdy. It will work in partnership with local community organisations and involve DANSA Community Transport with use of their existing community car.
£18,200 (35hrs per week) plus pension at 3% employer contribution available.
Part-time applicants and/or job-shares proposals are welcome. We are an equal opportunities employer.
