BME…

BME Community Development Officer

I’m Adam Cameron and I have been appointed as your Community Development officer. I am really looking forward to working with you, so that I can gain a better understanding of any issues, concerns or needs you may have.

Whether your issues or concerns are related to housing, benefits, employment, healthcare or any other public service, they are very important, and I will be working closely with service providers, charities and the local authority in order to help address them.

I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage you to join the BME forum, as the stronger the forum, the greater the voice, and thus, the greater the positive impact we can make on the health, well-being and happiness of yourself, your family and your community.

Whether you are Polish or Pakistani, Bulgarian or Bangladeshi, Latvian or Lebanese, Somalian or Syrian, or belong to any other black or minority ethnic group, I am here to serve you as you represent a very important part of Neath Port Talbot. Likewise, if you are not a BME member, but would like to play a part in helping the BME community of Neath Port Talbot, I would love to hear from you.

We are holding an informal meeting from 6:00pm-7:30pm on Tuesday, 6th December 2016 at Age Cymru Afan Nedd, Riverside Centre, Riverside Walk, Port Talbot SA13 1PH (behind Tesco Petrol Station) to which you are most welcome.

I look forward to hearing from you.
